ARIDO Award of Merit (Student Project) 2006

A proposal for the new Centre for Sexual Health Research and Education located in Toronto, Canada. The space is developed as an adaptive reuse of an existing architectural space integrating the dynamics of a historically rich community while meeting the needs and requirements of a socially controversial client.

The architecture acknowledges the sensitive programme of the client and embraces a conceptual method of promoting attitudinal change through a progression and procession through space.

Programme: lecture theatre, auxiliary theatre, library, resource centre, research facilities, private clinic, study hall and discussion forums.
